Small local business start up- help?!?

i am currently 17 and living in paso robles, california. i am very excited that my current goal of starting up a small local business is highly tangible but to fabricate everything and not just plan and collect resourceful contacts as i have done, i am resorting to the world wide web for any kind of help, service, consultation i can recieve. my main focus on this forum is to gain knowledge from those that have had and owned a local business. advice, comments, questions,...HELP!
