Help me with this please!!?

Hi people I'm a 22 year old dude from San Francisco who is smitten with this girl I met in cl and became close with over the last semester. She is a couple of years older than me (that's okay I guess....) and she has gone home (to Taiwan) for the holidays and wont be back until the first week of Feb '10. I was wondering if I should ask her out now....or wait until she gets back anyway I want the date to be on or around Feb 14th (in time for Valentines day!!! :D ) ....help me please.....
