Should I appeal against MOE's rejection?

I'm currently a local polytechnic student, but am bad with what I'm studying (because I have no interest in it). This year I applied one MOE scheme to study with NIE to be a teacher, but was rejected. Now I'm thinking of appealing, but I'm not sure whether should I or not because a lot of my friends are discouraging me.
