Is Judge Judy giving bad legal advice by saying a person should never plead guilty to a crime they didn't do?
Truly shocking, does she even realize the whole court system revolves around plea bargains? Not to mention all the rampant misconduct among prosecutors - I mean if a guy who is 55 is clearly getting "railroaded" by a prosecutors office who has deep pockets and all he has is a beginning public defender what are his chances? If he faces 15-25 years that's basically a death sentence, but if he is offered a plea deal where he gets say 4-8 years or so what are most folks going to do? Even in smaller municipal cases like traffic court this scenario seems to hold true. What say you?
