How can the Nile river go uphill?

As a matter of normal daily activity, only in two ways. One is when the flowing force of the water is sufficient to move the river up an incline adjacent to the stream, or in the stream (island). The second is when the Mediterranean tide moves a tidal bore up the river course while the volume of the river's output is low.
