Fetal abnormalities?

I have just found out that I may need to have testing done on my pregnancy. I'm not certain which tests for sure but probably have to have chronic villi and others done. This is my first pregnancy and I am very scared. I am scared about what they will find out and also about having the tests done. I don't know if they are painful...I there is anybody who has gone through some of this I would appreciate some insight. Thanks. Please say a prayer for my child.
