Can you really light Ohio Blue tip matches on your jeans?

I've seen it done in cartoons, you kind of stretch your , and then light it there on your jeans, or, even better: 1 off the sole of your shoe, tiyr fingernail, and even off your fly. I used to light them off my fly, but it didn't impress people too much. I once saw Benny Hill light a blue timp match off the ld ma's head. first he removed his hat.... (tee hee)
